Canon Printer Cartridges
One of the biggest complaints that people have about most color printer ink cartridges is that one color invariably runs out faster than the others. When your cyan ink runs out, you have two choices. You can either try to keep printing with the color balance totally off – or you can replace a color inkjet cartridge with three quarters a tank of magenta and yellow ink left. With Canon printer cartridges, however, you have a much better choice.
Unlike most other major manufacturer ink cartridges that contain all three inks in one unit, Canon printer cartridges have separate tanks for each of the three colors and black. If your cyan ink runs out in a Canon printer cartridge, you simply snap the cyan tank out of the unit and replace it with a new one. The same holds true for yellow and magenta. Run out of one color ink in a Canon printer cartridge and you simply replace the tank of the color that you ran out of.
The separate tank system used by Canon printers for their Canon printer cartridges makes particular sense for an artist or desktop publisher, who often finds that their cyan ink runs out before any of the others in an ink cartridge. Most companies that sell Canon printer cartridges give you the option of purchasing multi-packs of colors, either packaged with one of each color or all one color inks. Canon printer cartridges are also available with red or green ink – two colors that are notoriously difficult to mix in clear, bright colors from the CMYK (cyan magenta yellow black) system used by most color printers.
While it is possible to purchase Canon printer cartridge compatibles, a quick look at any user review page that allows consumers to state their opinion of Canon printer cartridges (and other printer cartridges from other companies) discourages that practice. Overwhelmingly, end users of Canon printers praise the superior quality of genuine Canon printer cartridges and inks.
